Hello, I’m Dr. Anindita Ganguly, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than two decades of experience helping individuals, families, and young people navigate life’s emotional and psychological challenges. Since becoming licensed in California in 1999, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of clinical and community settings. My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine belief in every person’s capacity for growth and healing.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with clients through the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health, where I provided care to children, teens, and their families. I also gained extensive training during my practicum at the University of California, Irvine Student Counseling Center, where I focused on developing a culturally responsive and inclusive approach to therapy. My experiences in both school-based counseling programs and Kaiser Permanente’s internship program have given me a comprehensive understanding of the many factors that influence emotional well-being at different stages of life.
I use a blend of humanistic and client-centered therapy techniques to create a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental environment. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process where clients feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to take an active role in their healing journey. By fostering trust and openness, I help my clients explore their emotions, understand their behaviors, and identify meaningful goals for change.
My theoretical approach integrates traditional and third-wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and attachment theory, and family systems models. This combination allows me to tailor each session to meet my client’s individual needs, whether they are working through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, or life transitions.
In addition to my clinical work, I have also dedicated the past 14 years to teaching psychology and social work at institutions such as Arizona State University’s School of Social Work and the University of California, Riverside Extension. Teaching has deepened my appreciation for continuous learning and has allowed me to stay current with emerging research and best practices in the mental health field.
My goal as a therapist is to help every client cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion. I view therapy as a journey toward personal growth, healing, and renewed balance. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I am here to provide a compassionate space where you can move toward a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
