Dr. Marisa Sánchez, Psy.D, LMFT

Hi! My name is Marisa Sánchez and I am a licensed Marriage, Family Therapist. I have a graduate degree as well as a doctorate degree in Marriage, Family Therapy. I have been in the field of mental health for the past 15 years. I started working with children on the spectrum, providing in-home behavioral therapy. I went on to work with at-risk youth in a group-home setting, working with attachment issues and anger management. After receiving my intern number, I provided therapy to adolescents struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation; I worked for 7 years in a community mental health agency, specifically in the crisis program. I also spent a couple of years working at a hospital in their outpatient program with adults. I have been at MindShift for a few years now and enjoy the array of individuals I get to work with; adults, children, individuals, couples, and families. I have the most experience in depression, anxiety, trauma, and attachment disorders. I love working with families and providing parenting techniques to better support the family unit. I am also trained in EMDR therapy.
